1) young centers need time to develop
2) need to sprinkle "chemistry" players into lineup ie lumley, semenko, mcclelland, krushelnyski, linsmen
3) need a pure meathead goon as 5/6 d man

Not a good sign when players look like they are checking out on a season. Kudos to Calgary for showing some heart.

How many times during After Hours did Schultz have to re-emphasize that he thinks he made the right choice by signing with the Oilers? A little doubt creeping in as the young inexperienced Oilers continue to work within a team which was built on losing? Too young and dumb to know what's best for them, I suppose.

Meh... whatever... who cares about them? I find it amusing that folks get their jollies from making fun of a struggling hockey team. Life must be grand.

Don Cherry's opinion has quickly become relevant again.

Oh, now it's one more year of rebuild Cloutier, I thought next year was supposed to be the year the Oilers finally make the playoffs(for sure) & possibly do some damage??

Man are you all over the map with regards to this team. One minute they're the greatest young team in the NHL, the next you're saying they're a long ways off.

Which is it?? The latter if you watched their pathetic effort against an AHL team last night, no heart, no grit, no nothing.

To me, they've quit on Krueger who's a loser coach himself.

Keep up the great work Cloutier, maybe another 2yrs of drafting in the top 5 will get you the players you think will win you a championship, then again, the rebuild has been going on forever.

No one who comes on here has to post who they cheer for, get over it already, it's a free world & anyone can post on here & say whatever the hell they like.

Bottom line is the Oilers suck, you know it & so does everyone else!!

Yes, Clouts actually runs the oilers, thanks for giving him the advice of continuing the rebuild.

Well actually there are rules to this site.. you cant say anything you like.

But... those rules don't seem to apply in an Oilers thread

Considering this team went from 29th-20th in 1 year i would say they are right on track. Every team has a bad stretch. Its a young team that needs to work on consistency. Chicago got rolled 8-4 last year to the oilers, does that make them a bad team? No. Its a work in progress. This is a team that held the 8th spot 2 weeks ago. This is right where normal people (not clouts) had the oilers this year. Playing for a playoff spot late.

Clouts , u r thrilled if the add streit and the rookie klefbom? A minor improvement. Still too soft. Including the lineup u posit. This team needs more changes then that.
